History

Founded in 1973 Apollo Sheet Metal specialised in producing replacement automotive panels.

1975:Colin Phillips was appointed works manager bringing with him a wealth of knowledge as a sheet metal worker in the manufacture of machine guards & fabrications.

1977: Colin became a partner in the firm & Apollo moved to larger premises.

1978:  Colin bought out his remaining partner.

1984: Colin's son Conrad officially joins the company.

1988: Now with a workforce of 12 on the shopfloor Apollo moved to bigger premises in nearby Bayton Road.

1994: After serving over 10 years on the factory floor Conrad moves into the office

1995: Expansion to their current premises 20 Bayton Road.

2000: Apollo takes over control of F.A.P Welding .
  
2005: Conrad appointed Managing Director following the retirement of Colin.
2006: Andrew Wilson appointed Production Manager setting up in house  Laser cutting. 
  
2007: Apollo Sheet Metal & FAP Welding become Apollo Coventry Ltd.
  
2008: Sister company Lunar Enginering is formed with CNC machining capability. 
2010: An additional CNC milling machine increasing capabilitiy with faster lead times.
 
2012: Ian Ealing is appointed office administrator to help ease the work load.
 
2014:  Investment in a new CNC Plasma cutting machine.
 
2015: Continued Investment in a larger CNC Milling machine.
2019: Ian takes over as Production Manager & Dean Curry appointed office administrator.
 

After the early setbacks Apollo have steadily grown from strength to strength  Conrad has continued to develop and increase Apollo & Lunar's  capabilities to become the successful business they are today.
